An Ode for my Husband

An Ode for my Husband:

In lands of wild and unknowable foods,
You must always beware and never be rude,
But what should you when faced with a plate
Of something that looks like what something else ate?
Well … Load on the salt, and drink lots of water,
hold your breath, avoid thoughts of slaughter,
Write down the address and never return,
And hope all the while your food follows in turn.
Then, late at night, find your donuts and cakes,
And thank all the heavens for your one culinary escape.

(disclaimer: we actually REALLY love the food in Turkey!!)
